Yesterday we had a collaborative art task for Mahi Tahi. It was a real test for our 4c's: Collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The end result was fantastic!
Kia ora, We really liked the way you were collaborating. Was the final art "Starry Night"? How did you know where to glue the strips of colour? How many students do you have in your class? We have 19 in our class. Mā te wā Room 4 Matawai School
Hi there Those are great questions. We did end up creating 'A starry night'. This is part of our Mahi Tahi time. This is all about working with different people - collaborating. There are about 80 children involved in our mahi tahi sessions from Year's 5 to 8. We are focused on 4 C's....collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking. It is great fun. WOW! 19 students in your class...we have 27 students. 10 are Year 6's and 17 are Year 7's. Do you do any work with other year levels in your school? Thanks for commenting.
Kia Ora, This is Duncan from Matawai School. We have 4 house groups that do stuff together and it is a competition. The names are Homebrook,Koranga,Rakora,Keretu. We have made over the past A big paper fort. It had to have a place that the tennis ball could sit for two minnutes, it also had to be the tallest. From Duncan
Hi I am Blake from Matawai School. We do lots of collaboration challenges but our favorite is with our 4 houses. We face each other collect points and the winner is the house with the most points at the end of the year. Our houses are named after places that joined to make Matawai School. They are Rakauroa, Keretu, Koranga and Homebrook. From Blake
